The biggest problem I have with this is that no other software exists with such easy-to-use tools for importing GPS tracks, creating custom points, and exporting KMZ files for share with other people. I use it a lot in my work to track routes to rural locations, POIs, and calculate areas. Additionally, all of these important features work offline using cached maps. While QGIS is incredible and powerful, it is too complicated sometimes; if there were something in between, I would be pleased.

Thank you! It works really well for what I want. The default maps are OK, but I really love the satellite view from Google Earth. I just had to add it from the "Create new map..." menu and it worked like a charm.

i really want a KDE plasma theme for windows 10

good news!

I really want to know the math behind the triangulation process

You know the angle of light entering the lens. The tangent of that angle gives you the ratio of (the distance between the lens and the laser) and (distance between the laser and the target). Which lets you work out the distance between the laser and target.

Trigonometry rocks!
