Unfortunately, no. People talk about the times. I was sick and tired of covid posts a few years ago. Or nodejs before that.

Visualizing for me has always been like touching something with my eyes closed. I can't "see" the object, but I have a feeling for all the shapes and contours. You can feel which way a key is in your hand and where each ridge is without having to see it. I solve geometry problems the same way. I can't see the whole thing at once, but I can move my sense of feeling across arbitrary scenes.

That’s exactly how it is for me.

I can somewhat imagine a simple square or triangle but only more like feeling it in the dark without fully “seeing” it. Anything more complex, like a pretzel is out of the question, just disappears/instantly-forgotten.

My dreams can be very vivid, except for some where an object disappears if I focus directly on it.

Always wondered whether this is normal, aphantasia, or something else…

I'm a fan of the t-rex:

> given choice between complexity or one on one against t-rex, grug take t-rex: at least grug see t-rex

That section reminds me of The Litany Against Fear.

Hah, indeed!

  "I must not complect.
  Complexity is the mind-killer.
Complexity is the little-death that brings obliteration.
I will face complexity and I will permit it to pass over me and through me.
And when it has gone past, I will turn the inner eye to see its path.
Where the complexity has gone, there will be nothing.
  Only I will remain."

  — Litany Against Complexity
I made that up in blog post that feels aligned with Carl's world-view. The Litany appears here in the post: https://www.evalapply.org/posts/writing-practices-to-10x-eng...

The other thread above helped me. You can have as many collinear points as you want as long as at least one point in the set is non-collinear.

Consider a 3x3 grid. It satisfies this argument.

I learned the pig pen cipher from a library book in maybe 4th grade. My friends had fun with if off and on through high school.

My guess: it is a relatively safe compound with the right properties to act as a working fluid for this movement. The text linked below mentions the working fluid and the property that the vapor pressure is highly variable over the range of normal room temperatures.

Here is a document with details and history about these clocks: https://www.physics.rutgers.edu/~matilsky/documents/Atmos/At...

What is a spec but a collection of decisions?

Camping gear, hammocks, bags, any small change or repair. Strap breaks on a backpack, fix it. Pocket rips, fix it.

The fact that it arrives cold and soggy is now an evolutionary pressure on our cuisine.

You can grow them yourself. I had no effort producing more than I can use in only a few years time.

That's great but not an option for everyone.
