I wish I could quote so much from this. But it encapsulates my issue with AI. Yes it can help. But it's not the end all be all. We still need smart people to make decisions.
Also, AI was build on what people figured out before. What happens when people stop figuring things out? Or stop making it available to AI? We hit a wall.
I know people don't like his politics, but the bigger issue to me is that 37signals removes manager titles from the low level people but not the high level people, yet they get the same work and duties. It's insulting.
As much as I want to agree with this, for some of the reasons given, even I must admit that AI does have its uses. I think a reasonable take is the ObjFW one:

Why do they need a Manager Playbook when they don't have Managers?
Oh wait looking at their org chart they do have managers. But only the special high level ones have real titles. The lowly ones get the work with out the title.
What? The reason Uber was so successful is because it was better. You don't have to waive your hand and pray they see you and stop. You use an app which is easy and you know when they are coming. And you can know the price ahead of time and the route. I've never gotten into a dirty Uber but definitely have gotten into dirty taxis. Whatever Ubers faults, they are better than taxis.
And at best you could get pizza delivered. Now everything can be delivered. Just because sometimes the drivers mess up doesn't mean overall it's worse.
Neither of your examples are good ones for your point.
