Some supermarkets let customers scan their items as they go through the store with a handheld device

My local Kroger variant does that. Or they did, maybe it stopped, now that I think about it. I never saw anyone use it. Intuitively it sounds like it could be handy, but it seems like in practice everyone just kept on doing things the way they're used to doing it.

Maybe mental health issues? We aren't entitled to indefinite maintenance of free software

yes I believe we are, and such indefinite maintenance is the result of FOSS and open repos and open collaboration that can re-iterate and keep a strong and decent level of maintenance.

maintainers are very important to me because i know the effort behind and the backbone of passion that holds them alive, and I would do the same, I would do it for passion and ask nothing back, especially topics like Credits and Copyrights (go check the related history, a shame)

Do you follow / use a specific framework? Or just ad-hoc prompts?

How does one die of old age?

My grandfather just went to sleep one night and never woke up. Mid 70's. It's clearly for 'some' reason but it wasn't some long drawn out illness like cancer or some sort of progressive congestive heart failure. Everyone just chalks that up to old age.

So probably things like aneurysm, burst artery in the brain, heart attack, blood clots arriving to lungs and so on.

But then there is also this shutdown where body starts switching off organs one by one, and hospital personnel know this well since its visible to trained eye, and known as time of no return. My grandfather went away like that.

Yeah I'm not familiar with that way but it makes sense!

Old age is rough but I would rather go out that way than a long drawn out terminal illness.

It's a bit of a facetious question, hence the downvotes, but I do think you have a point. You die of something - perhaps they're saying that people simply just... ran out of life/energy/steam and pass in their sleep? It does seem like the ideal situation.

How did you arrive at this conclusion from the article?

Can I have graphs as the default and fall back to agentic behavior if the prompt / task can't be mapped to a known process graph?

Sure. You could easily have the model choose a workflow/graph for execution and then call a tool that implements the execution engine for that. The tool then makes calls for model inferencing at various points in the processing.

>securely and anonymously

Not possible. Why do advocates of age verification bring this argument up again and again? It is not possible.

I guess the suggestion is to not travel at all. How much of all air travel is for fun and leisure?

Right, people should just sit at home and be miserable. Fun is sinful.

Can't you have fun in your life without taking a plane ? So weird.

I see you’ve met my mother!

What happens if the "fake" key gets compromised?

I just can't deal with all the ads on Xiaomi phones. Switched over from Chinese phones, still remember my JiaYu G4 fondly, to Samsung few years ago where the situation is a bit more bearable

I never saw an ad except when opening Xiaomi own apps which I don't use.
